Raiding Information

Raiding Membership:
Those who wish to be part of the progression raid core may apply via the application form linked off the main page. If your application is accepted, you will be granted a Probationary Rank, and provided a sponsor. During your assessment time, the raiding core will assess your ability, your fit in the larger team, and what you bring to the raiding team. If you are accepted, you will be granted the rank of Raider. If you are not, you may be offered casual membership, or you may wish to move on to a different guild.

Raid Times:
Raid times are 10 pm - 1 am Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Those participating should be on line ten minutes prior at a minimum, replacements begin at five minutes to go time. Lates are permitted if you have made prior arrangements only.

Malfurion's Raiders uses the Suicide Kings loot system. When you join the raiding core you will be added at the bottom.

Raiding Ranks - Probationary:
New members start here, from there you become a raider or move to casual rank of member. Raider: this means you receive invites to the raid, and you've been accepted into the core. It does not give you a guaranteed spot. Core Raider: this is the ONLY rank outside of an officer rank that guarantees a spot. Extra responsibilities come with this rank. See the post in the Raider section of the boards for additional information.

MR's Eleven Commandments of Raiding

1. Focus on the raid. That means shut your mouth and pay attention. Also follow your section leader if you have one (like tanks, healers, and pallys). If you have input for the raid, it needs to be typed, not spoken, to the appropriate person whether you are a member or an officer. When you're dead, don't talk. Shut up and figure out what you can do in the next attempt not to be dead. During the fights if there are events that need to be called out one person will be designated to do this. There is no extraneous chatter on vent during the action.

2. No costumes. No vanity pets. No Halloween wands. No pumpkin heads. No trains. Especially no trains. You get the picture.

3. No unscheduled afk's. If you go afk during a boss explanation, expect to be killed by your raid leader. If you go afk repeatedly, expect to be dropped from the team. No leaving the dungeon on breaks to turn in a tier piece, get an enchant, or get a gem, wait until a scheduled afk and make sure you're back on time. AFK's are scheduled, approximately ten minutes, so respect your team and be there on time.

4. When we wipe, run back immediately unless specified otherwise by the raid leaders. Don't release until after everyone is dead, otherwise there is the chance that we'll get lucky and you'll lose out on boss loots. Don't wait for a healer to rez you - everybody runs.

5. BRING YOUR OWN CONSUMABLES! It is your responsibility to grind for your own raiding mats. Ensure you are completely buffed for boss fights. Flasks: Talk to an alchemist. They can easily make some up for you and buying the mats is frequently WAY cheaper than buying the flasks. Repeatedly not having consumables on in a raid will result in replacement.

6. Check your attitude at the door. Meter waving, epeen displaying, blame throwing behaviour is not welcome.

7. Learn the boss fights. Tankspot.com has strategies. Often these are posted on the forums.

8. If you are going to be late, park at the instance before you log off. Let Nocturnelle know personally or via in game mail. Understand that depending on what we are doing, you may be replaced, there is no longer an hour of trash before a boss fight.

9. If you sign up, show up. If you don't sign up, don't expect a spot. Raids often close 24 hours in advance. If you have a spot - be on time for the raid, that means logged on fifteen minutes before and that you are AT the location of the raid, not asking for a summon after everyone else is standing in front of the boss. Replacements begin at five minutes to go time.

Invited - means your attention and response is required.
Accepted - means you have accepted the raid
Declined- means you are unavailable
Confirmed - means you are going to the raid
Standby - means you are on standby
Tentative - means you aren't sure if you can be there. In most cases you'll be replaced.
Out - means you were supposed to show up and didn't, in most cases.

10. Know the loot rules, and the loot pieces you wish to roll on. Managing SKG is a big enough job without adding those complications.

11. Have some fun! Seriousness and pissyness spoil the game for you and everyone else. So what if we wipe ten times - we don't play the blame game. Don't holler at your teammates over vent, it's a good way to ensure both of you are left behind next time. Respect these rules - they are in place to make sure that everyone is respected and has some fun, and that you raid leaders' heads do not explode. If they aren't respected, we won't bring you. There are no exceptions to this - healer, tank, dps, member or officer - nobody is irreplaceable.
